MUIRIS MAC CONGHAIL : […]

Our little cluster of islands, with the Great Blasket sitting in the middle, is worth visiting for [many] reasons. Here you can contemplate Ireland or even turn your back to her an to the busy world for a while and gaze towards America or up at the vast expanse of the Atlantic sky for hours. Some of these books are now available also in English, German, French, Czech and Swedish. Not all of these books are of equal merit, but taken together they represent an extraordinary collective literary achievement.
